Mac Birmingham
With one million visits every year mac Birmingham has served as one of the country’s foremost arts centres for over 50 years. With artists and audiences at its heart they provide opportunities for people from all backgrounds to see, hear and, most importantly, make art. mac is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, also funded by Birmingham City Council and partners.
mac Birmingham hosts the Cannon Hill Collective a group of young artists (variable art forms), who are recruited each year and work together to produce a years’ work/programme whilst gaining experience through peer and professional support.
‘mac makes music’ is currently supporting an in-house band for disabled young people- and are currently supporting them in their ambitions as musicians with an aim for them to more autonomous as their confidence grows.
